Mangka is a celebrated Manipuri folk artist and cultural ambassador. An A-grade folk singer and State Award recipient, she performs globally, having toured Japan, Hawaii, UK, Nepal, Switzerland, France, and Lithuania. Her connection with Ziro Festival runs deep, having performed twice at the festival and completing a UK tour through a significant collaboration between Ziro Festival (India) and Focus Wales (UK), supported by the British Council.
She performs alongside her father and guru, Mr. Mangangsana Meetei, a National Award-winning musician and composer with extensive international collaborations. They are joined by Mr. Elangbam Jayenta, a gold medalist in Manipuri percussion.
Through her initiative Play Pena Pena, she offers free music classes, working to preserve and pass on Manipuri musical traditions to the next generation.
