At the heart of our commitment to sustainability lies a robust waste management strategy. Here’s how we are leading the charge against plastic waste and practising environment friendly practices:
Training Food Stall Vendors
We are empowering food stall vendors with the knowledge and tools to eliminate plastic waste. Vendors will adopt sustainable alternatives such as biodegradable plates and cups, ensuring every meal served aligns with our environmental values.
Encouraging BYOB (Bring Your Own Bottle)
We are inviting our visitors to join the green movement by bringing their own water bottles. This simple step significantly reduces the need for single-use plastic bottles and fosters a culture of sustainability.
Waste Segregation on the Ground
To ensure proper waste management, we will set up six designated waste segregation areas across the venue. Each location will be supported by dedicated volunteers who will guide visitors in sorting their waste correctly, preventing contamination and ensuring efficient recycling processes.
We have designed some thoughtful experiences for people to try in their daily life using games as the medium which encourages us to make smaller changes in our daily life for a more sustainable India.
Post-segregation, we are collaborating with a local waste management vendor to process all types of waste:
- Dry Waste: Recycled to give materials a second life.
- Wet Waste: Composted or repurposed as bio-energy.
- Rejected Waste: Responsibly handled to avoid landfilling.
By taking these steps, we aim to ensure that no waste from our event ends up in a landfill, making it climate concious
